12/20/15Well, it is the time of the year when everyone drags out the decorations and fills their life with all of the wonderful holiday decor, myself included. Although, actually I am sure many pull out the decorations at the start of December or even the start of November, but I thought I would include it now with all of the holiday blog posts. Now my whole house is actually decorated for Christmas, but my family just puts up the same decorations each year, but I don't always decorate my room, so I thought I would include that. Also I think most of my readers are more likely to decorate their own rooms rather than a whole house. Now I do love Christmas, but I am not someone who goes crazy with decorations, so I only have a few areas I am going to show you in my room. Also you will notice the theme of The Peanuts, throughout my decor. I am a bit obsessed with everything Peanuts if you didn't already know, and having Christmas decor that is Peanuts themed just makes it that much cuter.

I will apologize for the not so high quality photos. These Peanuts shelves are in my closet which doesn't have the best lighting. Anyways here is an overview of the whole shelf that is Christmas themed peanuts stuff. The house shaped box is I think supposed to be a shelf, but I use it to create some shape in my peanuts themed shelf and just have it sit there. It is from Target a few years ago, so unfortunately it is not available any more, and many of my peanuts things come from either antique shops or years of shopping at hallmark, so I can't really link those either. This post will mainly be more inspirational than something you can repeat yourself.
Now I am not going to go through everything on the shelf because that would be a lot, but I just have some Christmas glasses filled with ribbon and fabric, as well as a snow globe sitting on top of a Christmas Peanuts book all in the house box. I also have a small strand of mini lights which worked at one point, but they are now broken. I will probably get some real lights eventually for my room, because I do like the way they look, but I do not have any this year. In the corner I have a little set up of cookies and milk, because baking desserts is something I associate with Christmas, and it helped fill the corner. I also like to collect miniature things, so that is why I have so many small things.
Sitting on top of a Christmas themed box I have a little happy meal toy of snoopy on Schroeder's piano. When you press the key's down it actually plays the song. The snoopy state thing next to it also plays the classic peanuts song (Linus and Lucy) when it is pressed down. Sitting in the back I have a vintage Charlie Brown Christmas book with a record that you play along with it which was actually my mom's growing up. I then also have a Christmas Schroeder who plays jingle bells and another Christmas song. Hallmark actually came out with a whole set of these Christmas musical statues, but I only have Schroeder since I play the piano.
Then there is the main Christmas decoration in my room which is the mini Christmas tree my mom got last year. It sits on my dresser and even though it has no lights it is gold so it makes up for it. Now unfortunately we don't have any mini ornaments really, and all of our full sized ornaments go on our real tree, so I didn't have any decorations really. Luckily I did have some ornaments that I think were from the dollar tree or something that I could use. They are not the prettiest ornaments, but I think they are cute, and they are just simple plastic ones so they work well on the tree. There were only five so I tried to spread them out a little, but it wasn't easy. Now I didn't like how the stand on the tree looked so I wanted some way to cover it. Thankfully I have a multitude of scarves so I just picked one and wrapped it around the bottom. This one was the one I thought fit the best, even though it is very colorful I think it looks nice with the gold. The scarf kinda acts as a tree skirt, but it also reminds me of when Linus wraps his blanket around Charlie Brown's tree in the Charlie Brown Christmas movie. So just when you thought I couldn't put any more Peanuts references in my christmas decorations I proved you wrong. I was not kidding you when I said I am obsessed. I realize it is a problem, but it is all so cute. I am hoping to get more ornaments for next year so my room isn't solely Peanuts themed Christmas decor.

Well I hope you enjoyed seeing what I look at each day to help get me in the Christmas spirit. If nothing else you now understand how obsessed I am with The Peanuts. Come back tomorrow for more Christmas themed posts, which will not be as full of The Peanuts.
